Veterans' Day
11 November 2009

Welcome

Well here is our little slice of cyberspace.  This began in mid-2000 as a means to share photos with our families while we moved (with the Navy's help) all over the United States.

We hope to post photographs, drawings, links, stories, and such so everyone can keep in touch with us.  Hopefully you'll find something interesting or worth while.  If you do happen to find something worth commenting on, please send an e-mail, we'd really appreciate it.  This site is very time-intensive to maintain and it's nice to know that someone is reading it and appreciates it.  Also, if you would like to see something specific posted to the site please let us know about that as well.

This site is continually changing (sometimes not as often as it should), so please check back often.

The SITE INDEX will show you which pages have been updated recently or if new pages have been added.  It's the best place to start.

A NOTE ABOUT PHOTOS:  If you would like to print a particular photo out, please send an e-mail with the photo name and we'll send you the high resolution file (over 2 mB) for printing.  If you try and save/print the pop-ups, you'll be disappointed (they are low resolution for fast loading).

Thanks for visiting.

Site Update

01 May 2009:  All right, after three months of constant work, Don was able to get the site completely updated.  Everything is up to date as of the end of 2008.  Yes, we know that's not really completely up to date, but it's one heck of a start.  We've added twenty - yes 20 - new pages of photos.  That's nearly 1000 new photos!  We'll be getting everything up to date (as of 2009) very soon.  We'll also be making a dramatic change to the site, which will hopefully be transparent to you.  Our site host provider is discontinuing the support for FrontPage, which Microsoft dumped many years ago.  We have been using it exclusively for this site and need to switch to new authoring software.  Again, hopefully that will be transparent to you.  After that, we'll make a very concerted effort at keeping the site up to date on a monthly basis.  Bear with us.  Please start with the SITE INDEX as that will show you what pages have had the content changed on them (updated) as well as show you all the new pages we've added.  As always, if you have any comments, please be sure and send them our way so we know what you think.

Family Update

01 November 2008:  We'd love to summarize what has happened to the family since the last update, but trying to get a year's worth of information into this block would fill it up many times over.  So, we'll just say that we are all doing well and will give the "big" update during our annual "year-in-review" that will be coming out next month.  Stay tuned.  The reason this update is taking place at all is that Don transferred from Boston back to Portsmouth, VA and he's down there by himself (no, Kelly didn't leave him)...we can't sell our house in this market, so Don had to go down there alone.  Kel and the kids are staying up there, probably until late summer (it'll be whenever we can get the house sold).  Anyway, that gives Don a lot of free time and what better use of that time than to update the site for the past THREE years of photos!!!  We'll be getting the year-in-review out to you all...check it our here to get a summary of our happenings and doings in 2008.  Take care and Be well.
